Electrical Technician

We design and manufacture food automation equipment in NYC.

We are looking to fill a position in electrical technology. The candidate will be working closely with project management as well as mechanical engineering staff in the development of new electromechanical systems.

The job requires a large degree of hands-on involvement with wire-ups, assembly and debugging of prototype hardware, and be available to travel for field debugging.

PLC ladder logic programming, preferably for Allen Bradley PLC’s, is a must, along with good communication skills, including complete written fluency.

Responsibilities
* Programming Allen Bradley PLC based control system;
* Design and layout of control panels & enclosures;
* Ongoing development and implementation of control systems for electro-mechanical systems;
* Troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems;
* Preparing wiring diagrams;
* Component selection, sourcing & purchasing.
Requirements:

* PLC programming (preferably Allen Bradley);
* Good knowledge of industrial control technologies (PLCs, various types of motor drives, feedback sensors, etc…);
* Experience with wiring and cabling;
* Experience with CAD to prepare wiring diagrams (Orcad / Autocad);
* Strong written communication & documentation skills;

· Knowledge of PCB design & manufacturing methodologies a definite plus;
