Billing Coordinator
We are a full–service accounting and advisory firm ranked among the leading CPA firms in the nation. Our company is currently has a challenging opportunity for an organized and detailed Billing Coordinator professional to oversee the day-to- day billing operations.
Job Description: Compiles data and prepare bills by performing the following duties:
· Prepare time downloads as requested for clients/categories for partners, principals, managers or supervisors for analysis purposes
· As requested, will prepare prebills to begin the actual billing process
· As prebills are returned, will prepare draft of bills according to billing instructions, ensuring that time and disbursements are billed accordingly
· Finalize all drafts once received with approval, and mail invoices on timely basis.
· Assist in time and disbursement editing and report distribution
· Follow up during the month with billing timekeeper on projected billings
· For certain billing coordinators enter new client forms into CMS with all relevant data accurately inputted or update client files as needed.
· Assist in producing retainers according to approved schedules
· Assist in producing and mailing of accounts receivable month-end statements
Job Qualifications:
· To qualify, you must have 3+ years of billing experience
· Prior experience in a law firm or accounting firm is required
· Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills, and PC proficient.
· In addition, you must be a team player, able to multi-task, and follow instructions.
· Working knowledge of CMS or ELITE system preferred, knowledge of Excel helpful.
Full time position-in midtown NYC-$55,000-$60,000
